Donations
The Tribune Bay Outdoor Education
Society is a non-profit Society and can offer charitable tax
receipts for donations to our Centre. Donations can be cash,
stocks, bequeaths or equipment.
Our Society is committed to offering
quality, affordable, outdoor education programs for youth.
We currently have almost 3000 young people come through our
Centre a year, and we subsidize the real cost by our fund-raising.
For income, we count on a small contribution from School Districts
69(Qualicum) and 71(Comox Valley), government grants, user
fees income, as well as foundation and private donations and
grants. The breakdown of our annual budget is: School District
contributions 11%, User fees 50 %, Government grants, other
grants and private donations 35% and other income 4%.
Our annual appeal for grants and
donations makes us spend an incredible amount of administration
time looking for and applying for extra funds. Help us redirect
our energy of looking for money and put it toward developing
more programs for the youth, improving the program equipment
and keeping our rates affordable.... by you making a one time
or an annual donation of funds that would help keep our budget
balanced.
We do welcome donations of any
amount, your contribution will help our Society do what we
do best...offering an incredible experience to young people
(often many times to the same youth over their school years),
to help them discover more about themselves, their peers and
the environment.
