Tribune
Bay Outdoor Education Centre offers Professional Development
Programs for support and teaching staff and administrators
of schools
and other youth related organizations
. The Centre offers the Professional Development Program to showcase our incredible youth programs to staff but in the process, the staff group receives the benefit of an incredible team building program for themselves. The Professional Development Program is designed so all members of your staff will go through the low impact activities or challenges on the ground (initiative tasks, trust exercises and warm-up activities) and for those inclined (with support of the others), challenges on our low ropes course, climbing tower and high ropes course. The incredible beauty of the Tribune Bay Provincial Park (where the Outdoor Education Centre is situated) is a perfect location for the staff to get away from the day to day routine. The activities selected are guaranteed to bring smiles to everyone's faces as well as, building your staff cooperation and cohesion (not to mention offering tools to use with your own students or youth). Other Centre programs that could be included are; ocean kayaking, our 12 passenger tour boat marine studies program, an environmental education focus or some of our other 'moderate' programs. Hornby Island also has many unique points of interest, talented artists and studios and incredible walking locations that could be added to your day.
