Between the bedrooms is a living room with a fireplace, iPod docking station, Wifi, reading area and glass sliding doors to a deck. The views from the cottage are spectacular.
You can lie in bed and see the water and hear the waves caress the shore below. Eagles often perch on a tree just outside the cottage and an owl makes appearances as well. Of course deer are plentiful, but are not warmly-received garden guests!
The deck overlooks the bay. You can enjoy the sunset while sipping a glass of wine, and you may see an eagle fly by at eye level. On the property there is a gas barbecue which guests are welcome to use.
The cottage is situated on 3 acres of garden and forest, away from the noises of a city. Walk out the door and turn east, and you’re on a beautiful path to Helliwell Provincial Park. Turn west, and you’re headed to Tribune Bay Provincial Park beach, the most beautiful beach on the coast. While you enjoy your stay, you can use the bikes provided, or go for a ride in the row boat. Or — bring along your easel and paint in the garden, take photos of the island, read a book, have a nap, go to the many art studios, have a nap, sip wine on the deck, have a nap.
