Arbutus House

The Arbutus House is a very comfortable, nicely furnished 3-bedroom home set back from the street and nestled among magnificent trees. In late spring and all summer long, sunlight will beckon you out to the deck for lovely meals en plein air. The beds in the Arbutus House are especially comfy. This house is great for families or a group of friends.

The house features:

• Fully equipped kitchen, with electric stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher.
• Full bathroom with sink, bath and flush toilet.
• 3 bedrooms: One bedroom downstairs with queen-size bed. One bedroom upstairs (master bedroom) with queen-size bed, and balcony overlooking garden. One bedroom upstairs with bunkbeds: one single bed andover a one double bed. One double-size futon bed/sofa downstairs.
• Second bathroom with shower and sink.
• Heat: electric baseboard heaters & wood-burning stove.
• Living room/dining room with large dining table; sofa and chairs.
• Sunny deck with table, chairs, parasol and gas BBQ for outdoor meals.
• Washer & dryer.
• Telephone for local and emergency calls only.
• WiFi Internet.
• Smoke-free home.

Water Conservation
Hornby Island is a Water Conservation Zone. This means that all residents voluntarily do their utmost to conserve our precious and limited water resources. Please help out by limiting your water use. If you bring a large group – 7 to 8 people – we will ask you to pay a $50 surcharge per week.

Linens & Towels
To conserve our water resources, we ask that you bring your own towels and linens, and wash them after you get home. If you forget to bring towels or linens, or don’t have room to bring them, you may use ours. We charge $5 for each set of linens and $5 for each set of towels.

Dog Policy: Well behaved dogs are allowed by prior arrangement, but not encouraged..
