Baird’s Big House

This beautiful and unique house is a Hornby Island classic. It is located on 11 acres of woods and meadows and is private from roads and neighbors.

It features tile and hardwood floors, a dramatic domed living room curved around a fireplace, and wide decks overlooking orchards and meadows and magnificent fir trees.

There are two bedrooms upstairs with a queen bed in each and four smaller bedrooms on the main floor with a single bed in a sleeping loft in each. Because there are 5 steps up to the bed level, we only recommend these bedrooms for children over 5 and able adults.

Pure cotton linens and down duvets are provided on the queen beds and hypo-allergenic duvets are provided on the single beds. All linens and towels are provided.

Area Attractions

The Big House is located on private acreage just across from the Old Lodge entrance to Big Tribune Bay. It is less than 5 minutes walk to the beach, a short bicycle ride to Helliwell Park or a 10 minute stroll through the meadows to the Co-op.

NOTE: Baird’s Big House is a non-smoking home.

No dogs permitted at the Big House.
