Cabin at Hornby Wood

Although close to inspiring beaches and island amenities, this beautiful forested acreage, mainly Douglas Firs and Red Cedars, is also private and spacious.

This cozy little cabin has a sleeping loft with a queen size bed suitable for two and a couch that folds out into a futon to sleep on for two more people.

The partially closed in kitchen area is open to the outdoors, yet protected from the weather by a glass roof. Kitchen amenities include a two burner propane stove, a mini refrigerator, sink, toaster oven, pots and pans, coffee maker and grinder, plates, cutlery and utensils. Access to a full size freezer is available.

The cabin is heated by electric radiant heat.

An outdoor shower is served by a hot-water-on-demand propane heater.

There is an outhouse with a composting toilet turning human waste into nutrient rich humanure for use on the non-edible flower garden.

Area Attractions

An eight minute walk to Sandpiper Beach. Close to Deerheart Sanctuary meditation retreat. Near extensive network of walking and mountain bike trails in Mt. Geoffery Provincial Park.
