Hornby Island is blessed with beautiful parks, beaches and hiking trails. Available year around and free of cost, these natural gems are here for residents and vistors to enjoy. But take care, the unique environment of Hornby Island is both beautiful and fragile. Stay on the trails, respect guidelines, and above all, be fire conscious at all times!

Big Tribune Bay is one of the warmest salt-water swimming destinations in British Columbia. With nearly a mile of gorgeous white sand, this beach is why Hornby is called the Hawaii of Canada.

Catch the sunset from a different angle at one of Hornby Island’s two drive-in sunset beaches.

Donated by John Helliwell, he felt this piece of land was just too spectacular for the public not to have access to. Thanks to him, we get to enjoy the dramatic grassy bluffs and old-growth forests that make Helliwell so unique and awe-inspiring.
