Hornby Island Community School

The official Community School designation gives the Hornby Island School the freedom to expand programs to include a curriculum of community classes and recreational programs.

There is now a separate office for the Community programs, in the Room to Grow building, which was built by the community for the school. The Room to Grow building houses the Job Shop and the Community Access Centre, with computers, printers, copiers, fax and inexpensive internet access.
